The serrated blade of the Samura MO-V Bread Knife is, of course, a utility knife. As well as slicing easily through your bloomer, baguette or batch loaf, this knife is equally at home with foods having a soft or juicy core, but a hard crust or skin, including pastry, citrus fruits, pineapple, watermelon, etc. Undulating and very sharp teeth delicately saw the crust or skin, without crushing or crumbling the tender core.
A long but thin single-layer blade has proven itself ideal for processing foodstuffs of all sizes. It is perfectly balanced with an oval handle and is separated from it by a hygienic metal bolster.
Formed from AUS-8 steel, which is at its best in this kind of knife, with molybdenum (MO) contained in it preventing corrosion, and vanadium (V) improving resistance to high temperatures.
